Galleri Syster

In collaboration with Andrea Lundgren and Linus Johansson initiated by galleri Syster as part of their project SamArtBete.

We built the den together. Each of us was already many. It quickly became crowded.

under marken is a badgers sett. A system of roots filled with echoes. A rhizome made of sculptures, films and sound installations. Below, many voices speak, sing or whisper - all talking at once. We work at night, watch TV or read. Dreaming about digging and when we write we build. Carving a small cut and twisting the roots into threads to tie new knots in our organic machine. The vegetation gets through the walls.

There are rooms we do not visit. Do not look there, here is something else, come! Evasive maneuvers and routes of escape. We are looking for underground moments. When we dug we found treasures (or rubbish) we do not know, but it happens that we steal from others. Some things we hide away. Down in the den all that is human is penetrated by earth and tunnels. In the deepest darkness there is something that must be protected.
